The Double Bass Symposium XIX is an event for all levels of proficiency from Middle and High School to professional. 

It will take place from February 5th through 7th, 2010

Maps, schedules, and information concerning special hotel accommodations will be sent with confirmation of pre-registration. 

All events will be held at the School of Music in the new Performing and Visual Arts Complex at the University of Georgia.

Ample parking is available free of charge. Contact Milton Masciadri to obtain a parking permit.

Becky Roberts Scholarship

This will be offered to a Bassist in College that fulfill the ideals of Becky as a double bass performance major. Deadline: 12/26/09

Barbara E. Roberts received her music education at Eastman School of Music, University of Maryland and University of Georgia, where she obtained the degree of Doctor of Musical Arts degree in double bass performance. She has studied with Peter A. Mercurio, the late H. Stevens Brewster, Jr., the late Oscar G. Zimmerman, and Milton W. Masciadri. As an orchestral bassist, Ms. Roberts has performed with numerous orchestras throughout the United States and abroad. Additionally, Ms. Roberts presents recitals and master classes throughout the United States.

Student biographies will be accepted until December 26, 2008.
