A listserve a good way to keep in touch with other professionals in your area of interest. Listserves provide groups of individuals who have a common interest with a convenient method of communicating with a each other. All you need to join a listserve is an e-mail acount. Web access is also helpful because lists of listserves can be located on the World Wide Web, along with directions on how to join the groups yourself.

There is a listserve for double reed players that provides a wealth of information to interested parties. To join the double reed listserve, send an e-mail massage to: listserv@listserv.wuacc.edu. Leave the subject field blank and type in the first line of text in the body of your message: SUB doublereed-L [your first name] [your last name].
