String Instrument Retail and Rental
We strongly discourage an internet purchase of a string instrument for a beginner. If you wish to buy a half-size or three-quarter size instrument, it is best to go with the child to a reputable local dealer--- and show the instrument to one of our teachers before buying it. It is also possible to buy an instrument from a local parent... check the bulletin boards on 2nd floor. Most children play on a rental instrument for the first few years.
