Fall participants in UGA’s Washington Semester Program head to the nation’s capital on Sept. 8
Against the backdrop of the upcoming presidential election this fall, University of Georgia junior Lucas Puente will have the opportunity to serve as an intern in the office of Senator Barack Obama through UGA's Washington Semester Program. Puente and the other UGA participants will start their fall internships Sept. 8.

UGA Arts Festival
Join the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences and the Willson Center for Humanities and Arts at the UGA Arts Festival from Sept. 4 through Sept. 7. The campus-wide festival features exhibits and performances by faculty and students in the Lamar Dodd School of Art, Hugh Hodgson School of Music, department of dance, department of theatre and film studies, and the Music Business Program. Public forum on University Budget
On Friday, Sept. 5, President Michael F. Adams and other senior university officials delivered a presentation about the impact of current economic challenges and responded to questions from the audience. The forum can be seen online starting on Monday, Sept. 8. The President’s talking points are available here. The budget forum will be presented again live on Wednesday, Sept. 17 from 10:30 a.m.-noon in the Tate Student Center Theater.
