The UGA/Athens Twilight Jazz Festival combines a tradition started by UGA faculty member Roger Dancz of an educational jazz festival hosted at the School of Music and the 25-year tradition of jazz for the community during the Twilight criterium weekend. The 2-day festival includes clinics for big bands, combos, vocal jazz ensembles, and vocal soloists at the middle school, high school, college, and community levels. Festival participants are eligible to perform on the Twilight Outdoor Stage on both Friday and Saturday.

Friday night the Jazz Guardians featuring world-class trombonist Andy Martin, will headline the Twilight Outdoor Stage.
Saturday night All-Star clinicians will headline the Twilight Outdoor Stage.
The Jimmy Herring Band will perform at the Melting Point after the Outdoor Stage closes Saturday night.

We're pleased to welcome guitarist Mimi Fox back for a second year. Mimi will be offering one-hour private lessons for intermediate and advanced level guitarists. Contact Mitos Andaya for more information.

VIP packages for Friday night are available. This includes a catered dinner by the Porterhouse Grill Restaurant on top of the College Avenue Parking deck and preferred seating in front of the Downtown Twilight Stage.
