Supervision: Participants will be supervised during all workshop functions by current and former students of the University of Georgia Saxophone Studio. This includes all functions at the School of Music, meals, and dorm facilities.
Dorm Facilities: All participants that choose to stay on campus during the workshop will be staying in a dorm on the University of Georgia campus. All rooms have two extra long twin beds. Participants will be expected to bring their own sheets, blankets, and pillows as well as towels for the bathrooms.
Meals: Participants who are staying in the dorms will have the cost of the dining halls on the University of Georgia Campus included in their tuition. The dining halls have extremely good food and have multiple options at every meal. Participants who are staying for the day may eat at the dinig halls but will need to pay for each meal.
Traveling to Athens: Particpants who choose to drive to Athens will have information mailed to them before the workshop directing them to the registration site as well as the Hugh Hodgson School of Music. All participants who are arriving by air or bus need to contact Dr. Kenneth Fischer to let him know of your travel plans so arrangements can be made.
By Bus: Greyhound services Athens and arrangements can be made to pick up and drop off participants at the bus station.
By Air: Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport is the largest major airport. It is serviced by all major airlines. Participants can buy a seat on the AAA Airport Shuttle from the Atlanta airport and arrive on the UGA campus at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education. Arrangements can be made to pick up participants from that location. Participants can also fly direct to Athens through Charlotte on USAir.
