Step Off
June 14-18, 2009
Step Off is a division of the UGA Summer Marching Band Camp which
provides beginning marching band students an opportunity to learn the basics of marching fundamentals before participating in their school's marching band program. The program is designed for students who have anxieties about joining a marching band or for those who wish to get a "sneak peek" of what marching band is all about before beginning the school year.
Step Off is a day camp from 9am-5pm that provides lunch.
We have decided to also offer an overnight Step Off Camp this year! We can make arrangements for your students to stay overnight in our dorms, eat 3 meals a day in our dining halls, and receive supplementary instruction in the afternoon and evening. If there are any specific techniques that you would like the students practice during these extended times, we will be happy to individualize these extra sessions based on your requests. The regular marching band camp fee will apply for overnight students: $480.
