Georgia Museum of Art to present security assessment of National Museum of Iraq April 28

ATHENS, Ga. – Nathan Carmack, director of security at the Georgia Museum of Art, will present a report and photo journal on the survey of the Iraqi National Museum at 2 p.m. in the M. Smith Griffith Auditorium.

The survey was conducted by a team sent by the U.S. State Department and the American Association of Museums. The team evaluated the museum and made recommendations for future assistance. Carmack received an extensive briefing on the team’s activity during the Smithsonian National Security Conference.
