DIRECTOR OF STUDENT AFFAIRS FOR UGA AT GWINNETT NAMED

ATHENS, Ga. — Teresa Raetz has been named the first director of student affairs for the University of Georgia at Gwinnett. She is responsible for coordinating all UGA student affairs programs at the Gwinnett University Center and for coordinating the development of new student services and programs.

UGA began offering undergraduate degree programs at the Gwinnett University Center this fall. The programs represent an expansion of UGA’s offerings in Gwinnett, which have previously included graduate degree programs and continuing education classes and certificate programs.

Raetz earned her doctorate in student affairs administration from UGA. While working on her degree, she held graduate assistant positions in the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs and the department of University Housing, where she supervised student staff. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Oklahoma State University, where she worked in admissions and recruiting for five years.

"The University of Georgia has made a commitment to hiring top-quality leaders for our expanding programs at the Gwinnett University Center. Dr. Raetz exemplifies this commitment," said Bob Boehmer, who serves as UGA’s senior administrator for the Gwinnett University Center.
