The University of Georgia Gerontology Center is sponsoring a Town and Gown Workshop titled, "Whats Out There for Me? Community Support and Enrichment Programs." The workshop will be held at the Athens Community Council on Aging at 135 Hoyt Street on Friday, Dec. 13, from 1 to 4 p.m. Registration, reception and exhibit-viewing will begin at 1 p.m. The program is free and open to the public. For those whose interests include becoming more involved in the community, lifelong learning, recreational and volunteer opportunities will be explored. The program includes time for questions and answers concerning programs and for talking directly to providers who will have informational materials available. Exhibitors will be available during the reception and at the close of the program to assist individuals in exploring options. The program is cosponsored by the Athens Community Council on Aging. |
