Room 374, Chemistry Building
The University of Georgia

The Chemical Sciences Magnetic Resonance Facility is housed in recently renovated space in the Chemistry Building and is under the direction of Dr. Quincy Teng.  The facility houses Varian Mercuty plus 400 MHz and Varian Inova 500 MHz NMR spectrometers.  The instruments can perform a wide variety of multinuclear and multidimensional experiments for structural and dynamic studies of biological molecules, natural products and synthetic compounds.  Structural biology applications can also take advantage of the Structural Biology 600 MHz NMR instrument operated jointly with the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and located in the Life Sciences Building, as well as other NMR instruments at the Complex Carbohydrate Research Center, including an 800 MHz instrument.
