Mandatory Immigration Processing & New Student Orientation

All new international students, including students transferring from other U.S. institutions, must come to mandatory immigration processing and new student orientation. You must bring your passport and all immigration documents (I-20 or DS-2019, passport, I-94 card, and visa) with you in order to complete the required immigration processing.

During new student orientation, students will be given information about registering for classes, assisted with obtaining a Social Security Number, and provided with health insurance information, among other important issues for new students. Exact dates and activities for the entire New International Student Orientation were included in the “Georgia Bound” newsletter that was sent with your admissions documents and can be found at the International Student Life website at www.uga.edu/isl/.
