Mandi Work
Mandi Work is a Study Abroad Advisor with the Office of International Education. She advises students, presents to student groups, serves on the program review and risk management committees, and oversees the peer advisors. Mandi graduated from Kent State University in 2008 from the Higher Education Administration and Student Personnel Master’s program and received the Internationalization of Higher Education Certificate. She has worked in the international offices at Kent State University and Baldwin-Wallace College.
Karen Braxley
Dr. Braxley, a native of London, England, has lived in England, France, and the United States. She received her Ph.D. in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from the University of Georgia. Her research interests include academic writing, sociocultural theory, and qualitative research. She works in the Division of Academic Enhancement as the Coordinator for Writing Tutoring. She loves her job at the University of Georgia because it gives her the opportunity to work with wonderful students from many different countries.
Jessica Wells
Jessica Wells is the Assistant Director of International Student Life. She advises 30 international and multinational student organizations. She coordinates the International Tax Assistance Program, assists with international orientation, Coffee Hour, international graduation, Street Fest, and other cultural events. Jessica is originally from Washington state, and has been working and studying at UGA since 2005. She graduated from the College Student Affairs Administration program while working in the International Student Life office.
