What Employers Should Know
This program is fast and easy. There are no sponsorship or placement costs. The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) permits employers to hire international students as interns for part-time and full-time training, as long as it relates to the student’s field of study. Very little paperwork is required to hire an international UGA student for training and internship opportunities. There are no additional hiring costs to the employer.
Prospective Students should have:
- A strong work ethic
- Additional cultural and ethnic diversity
- Fluency in multiple languages
- A broad range of communication skills
- Demonstrated motivation
- Proven English language ability and an understanding of American culture
- Willingness to adapt to new situations
