The traditional three-C literacies—computational literacy, comprehension literacy, and written composition literacy--are no longer sufficient for success in college and in the work place.  The fourth C, computer literacy, has become an essential processing tool through  which the other three literacies are increasingly learned, enhanced, and enacted.

UNIV 1120 is specifically designed for students who want to know more about using
computers and online resources for their academic and professional careers.

  • Take the Computer Literacy Quiz to help you decide if you should enroll in Online@UGA.  UNIV 1120 offers one hour of elective credit and is graded Satisfactory / Unsatisfactory. It meets once a week in room 370 of the Student Learning Center.

  • Each semester a special section of UNIV 1120 is offered for graduate students. Check the course schedule for specific information.

  • SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: UNIV 1120 is now open to students with credit in the following courses: EDIT 2010, EDIT 2020, MIST 2090, and MIST 2190H. If you need assistance registering, contact Ms. Teresa McClure at (706) 542-4329 or at tmcclure@uga.edu.
