Use this short quiz to help you decide whether or not you could benefit from enrolling in UNIV 1120.

    1.  I know how to use GIL to find the location of a book, video, or map in the UGA Libraries.

    2.  I know how to use GALILEO to search for peer-reviewed journal articles.

    3.  I know how to use Boolean operators.

    4.  I know how to analyze a Web site for reliability, timeliness, and accuracy.

    5. I know how to send and open email attachments and how to check attachments for viruses.

    6. I know when and why to send email attachments in rich text format.

    7. I know how to detect email hoaxes and phishing expeditions and how to protect my computer against phishers and adware.  

    8. I know how to use HTML to create Web pages and how to upload them to a Web server.  

    9. I know how to use software such as Movie Maker or iMovie to create digital movies. 

   10. I know relevant laws regulating my legal use of UGA computers and software.

If you answer “No” to more than 3 of the questions, you should strongly consider enrolling in UNIV 1120.
