INSTRUCTION

A Task Force, appointed by Provost Arnett C. Mace, Jr., studied during Academic Year 2004-05 ways to improve undergraduate education at the University of Georgia. Members of the Task Force explored the intellectual climate on campus, how students learn in today’s academic environment, and whether the general education requirements for all undergraduate students remain engaging and innovative. The objective of the Task Force was to take the educational experience of undergraduates to a new, and higher, level. The text of the Task Force report may be found at http://www.uga.edu/provost/Initiati.htm.
