Situated in the heart of UGA's Old North Campus, the University Chapel is a well known campus landmark. Originally built in 1832, the Chapel was once used primarily for daily religious service, which all students were required to attend.
The Chapel is still in great demand today as a venue for lectures, campus meetings, and weddings. Many University of Georgia alumnae, students, and supporters have chosen to hold their wedding ceremonies here. The oil painting "Interior of St. Peter's Rome" provides a unique backdrop for such events.
The University of Georgia Chapel may be rented by all UGA student, faculty, and staff groups. It is also available for weddings, memorial services, and suitable performances. Please select the link below or call Lori Tiller, Chapel Manager, at (706) 542-2290 for more information.
