Since 1970, The University of Georgia has sponsored an
interdisciplinary study abroad program located in the ancient
Etruscan hilltown of Cortona, Italy, in the province of
Tuscany. Sessions are offered summer, fall, and spring quarters. The
areas of study are art history, studio arts (book arts, ceramics, design,
drawing, interior design, jewelry making, painting, papermaking,
photography, printmaking, scientific illustration,
sculpture, watercolor); environmental
design, elementary Italian, and women's studies.
