General Information

We are a student organization on the UGA campus, whose members are interested in veterinary medicine (and gaining admission into Vet School). Our organization meets every other week and all UGA students, faculty, and staff are welcome to join. Our club activities aim to enhance knowledge and experience within the veterinary medicine field. Club activities include guest speakers, volunteer activities, philanthropic events, and field trips. We also help students prepare for the application process into Vet School. The Pre-Vet Club at the University of Georgia is a great way to meet and work with fellow pre-veterniary students.

Meetings

Our next meeting date will be Monday, October 6th at 7:00 PM in room H237 in the vet school.
Dr. Fayerhoskens, veterinary theriogenologist at the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine, will be our speaker. He will give us a run-down on what it's like to specialize in reproductive biology!

We hope to see you then!

VIDA Veterinary Internships in Central America
There will be an informational meeting on Tuesday, September 30 in SLC Room 250 at 5:00 regarding VIDA trips over winter break and spring break for those interested. Feel free to attend to receive more information about VIDA's purpose and mission, and to possibly work with VIDA on an upcoming trip. For more information regarding the Veterinary teams, please email Jessie Duhon at jessieduhon@gmail.com.

VIDA (Volunteers for Intercultural and Definitive Adventures) is a nonprofit organization that provides free medical, dental, and veterinary care to needy communities in Central America where most individuals bring home as little as $2 a day. At the same time, we provide students with a unique hands-on, eye-opening, and mind-enriching volunteer experience. VIDA volunteers learn first hand about Central American cultures, participate in homestays, cultural activities, and work side by side local licensed health care professionals in mobile clinics. This is an excellent opportunity for those who are pre-professionals to test the waters in a highly supervised environment.
