FRANK D. FINCHAM, PH.D., is
Eminent Scholar and Director of the Family Institute at Florida
State University. He was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford University
where he obtained his Ph. D. in psychology. A Fellow of the
American Psychological Association, British Psychological Society,
American Psychological Society and National Council on Family
Relationships, Fincham’s research has placed him among
the top 25 psychologists in the world in terms of impact (number
of citations per published article) and has been recognized
by numerous awards, including the President’s Award for
Distinguished Contributions to Psychological Knowledge (British
Psychological Society). His research focuses on marital relationships,
the impact of interparental conflict on children, and forgiveness.
