In 2004, the Executive Committee approved a new approach to publishing The Journal of Eukaryotic Microbiology. The Society has signed a five-year contract with Blackwell Publishing, Inc. to co-publish the Society journal.

Blackwell has established a new Home Page for The Journal at the following URL -

http://www.blackwellpublishing.com/journal.asp?ref=1066-5234

Please review our new Home Page and provide any feedback comments to the Editorial Office at our new e-mail address -

editor@jeukmic.com

This move has also meant that we will be using a new manuscript tracking and review system called Manuscript Central, which is marketed and managed by ScholarOne and available through the Journal Home Page and also at the following URL -

http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/jeukmic

For those of you who have used our previous system called AllenTrack, which is marketed and managed by e-journal press, this new system will be a little more complex. However, it is also more powerful and provides some useful tools to access the literature, especially in the Reviewer and Editor modes. For those of you who do use this system over the next year, we would again appreciate your comments, both positively and negatively.

We are just completing the final touches to Issue 1 of Volume 52, which will be going to the presses in January. We look forward to seeing The Journal with its a new "Blackwell look"!
