A new feature has been added to the Portal to Protistology: the Protist Movie Series. Modeled on the "Protist Movie Nights", organized by Wayne Coats, that have provided evening entertainment at several ISOP meetings, we hope these will be both amusing and a useful teaching tool.

Oh, the humanity.
The inaugural contribution, from Bruce Russell, shows the "squeeze bulb" technique used by the ciliate Didinium to consume its larger Paramecium prey. Other submissions, whether involving protistological bloodshed or not, are very welcome. Contributions of movies and descriptive text will be gratefully accepted by the Webmaster.
