Section 1: Faculty

1.05 Meetings

The University Faculty shall, in regular session, meet at least once a year upon the call of the President. At this meeting, the President shall report on the state of the University. The President shall also call a meeting of the University Faculty upon petition of 100 University Faculty members or after 2/3-majority vote of the University Council.

1.05-1 University Council

The Council shall meet at least three times each semester of the regular academic year. The time and place of the regular meetings shall be determined by the presiding officer. The presiding officer of the Executive Committee of the Council shall have authority to call a special meeting, or a special meeting shall be held upon written petition addressed to the Executive Committee and signed by twenty members of the Council.

1.05-2 School/College

Each school and college shall adopt a schedule for regularly held meetings of its faculty.

1.05-3 Department

The faculty of a department shall meet at least once each semester. At all meetings of the departmental faculty, the head of the department shall be the presiding officer.
