1.14 Awards

To recognize excellence achieved and to encourage all to strive for such achievement, the University of Georgia annually presents a number of prestigious awards.

1.14-1 Teaching Awards

On an annual basis, in addition to numerous awards given by various units, the University of Georgia recognizes excellence in teaching through the Richard Russell Awards for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching and Josiah Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professorship Awards.

1.14-4.4.1 Established only Through Regents Approval

Endowed professorships are not official until approved by the Board of Regents. Therefore, the creation of all such positions must be presented to the Provost through the Office of Faculty Affairs.
