SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES
The University of Georgia has 16 schools and colleges. The oldest, the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences, was founded in 1801. The newest are the College of Public Health, approved by the University System of Georgia Board of Regents in 2004, and the School of Ecology, which began operation July 1, 2007.
