About PRSSA @ UGA

What is PRSSA?

The Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) aims to cultivate mutually advantageous relationships between students and professionals. Its mission is to serve members by enhancing their knowledge of public relations and providing access to professional development opportunities. In doing so, PRSSA aids in developing highly qualified and well-prepared professionals.

During the past few years, the UGA PRSSA chapter has won many awards for its achievements including Best Chapter and Best Student Firm at the annual PRSSA National Conference. In 2007, PRSSA members won the prestigious Bateman Case Study Competition and have placed in the top three or have received an honorable mention several times in years past.

How can I get involved?

Opportunities are endless! The easiest way to get involved is to attend meetings. By coming to meetings, you will hear advice from and make connections with professionals, and can talk to your peers about their experiences in PR. All members are encouraged to join a committee, come to socials and fundraisers, be on a Creative Consultants teams, and attend PRofessional CONNECTION and Real World Atlanta.
