While providing quality services and facilities is expensive, it is the policy of the Psychology Clinic to work with individuals and families regardless of their income. When necessary, the charge for services is discounted in order to be affordable, given the gross income and family size of the person seeking therapy. Also, most major medical insurance policies will cover a percentage of fees assessed for the services of a clinical psychologist, making this option available for many clients.

Eligibility and Application Procedure: The Psychology Clinic Services are offered to any child, adolescent, adult, couple, or family. There are no eligibility requirements for applying to the Clinic. Prospective clients may contact the Clinic directly to obtain an appointment. A referral may also be made by a private physician, school system, or community agency.

The first step is to call the Clinic at (706) 542-1173. A secretary will schedule an initial appointment as soon as possible. Following the initial interview, clients are contacted by a clinic therapist. Clinic therapists are usually graduate student members of a treatment team supervised by a Clinical Psychology faculty member. In all cases, professional standards of practice are followed. Confidentiality is respected, and all information is held in the strictest confidence legally possible.
