Currently, structural and functional fMRI research is conducted at Healthsouth, a facility near campus. This facility houses a GE 1.5T magnet along with a control room. In February 2005, a research-dedicated 3T GE MRI scanner for functional and structural brain imaging will be part of a new 9000-square-foot research-dedicated Brain Imaging Center in the Coverdell Center for Biomedical and Health Sciences on the UGA campus. This facility also will house EEG and MEG equipment.
