The Georgia Decision Lab is based in the Psychology Department of the University of Georgia. The lab is collaborative in nature, and has been directed by Dr. Adam Goodie since 1998. Our research is dedicated to the multidisciplinary domain of judgment and decision making. Research conducted in the lab encompasses behavioral, neuroscientific and quantitative modeling methods, and approaches problems that are both basic and translational, bridging the gap between basic and applied science.
The primary areas of current research interest are: 1) the role of control in basic decision making; 2) approaches to the origin, maintenance, prevention and treatment of problem and pathological gambling; 3) decision neuroscience; 4) personality effects and individual differences in decision making; and 5) Bayesian reasoning and base rate neglect under direct experience. |
