Applied Psychology Student Association (APSA)

Students in the Applied Psychology Program at UGA are invited to join APSA (Applied Psychology Student Association), a unique feature of our program that aims to ensure a high quality of student life. In conjunction with the faculty, APSA plays a major role in helping our program function smoothly. As members of APSA, we serve our program by helping recruit talented graduate students to our program, organizing networking socials with our broad alumni base, planning frequent social events for students and faculty at Athens’ many lively locales, and regularly arranging research and career talks with individuals in various lines of work related to Applied (I-O) Psychology. It is our belief that APSA plays an integral role in our career development as well as our social development as graduate students at the University of Georgia.

We always lend a hand: The APP at the University of Georgia has a student-to-student mentor program that is designed to aid in students’ adjustment to life in graduate school.

Our students are very productive: APP students travel to numerous conferences in exciting places to present our research

We also like to have fun: Students of the APP enjoy regular social gatherings including happy hours, dinners, and community philanthropy activities.

UGA faculty members are extremely supportive: We cooperate in research endeavors and have student-faculty gatherings throughout the year

A home away from home: Students and faculty gather for our annual
Faculty Appreciation Luncheon.
