Visitation Days

The UGA Applied Psychology Program faculty and students will host two organized visiting days for students who have been accepted into the Applied Psychology Program. These visitation days are always held the first Friday of November and the next date TBA in February.

Visiting students can look forward to meeting each of our faculty members, as well as many of our students. Back-to-back, 1/2 hour, informal group meetings will be hosted by each of the faculty during the morning hours. After that, students in the program will accompany prospective students to lunch at a downtown restaurant, to be announced at a later date. Following lunch, applied program students will host an informal discussion panel, informing students about the program, fielding questions, etc.

The second visitation day, this year will be March 2nd, is open to all students who have been admitted into the program. We strongly encourage admitted students to attend our "open house." Students will learn in greater detail about the program and university policies and procedures. Prospective students will meet their major professor, learn more about their research program, and meet students in their lab. Students will also receive information about housing options and information about the Athens community. The goal of the second visitation day is to provide students a realistic picture of the program and to answer student questions about the program and university.
