Graduate School Application

Application to the Department of Psychology requires both an application to the UGA Graduate Admissions Office (the office that oversees all graduate applications to all departments across the entire university) and a supplemental application to the Department of Psychology.

Click here for a link to the UGA Graduate School page, where information about the application to the Graduate School can be obtained. Here is a link to the UGA Graduate School page with admissions information, including an electronic admission application. Pages will open in a new browser window.

Note to international applicants: please read this information on the graduate school website.

In order to receive full consideration, all application materials must be received by December 1. Applications are considered complete when the department has received copies of all required information from the UGA Graduate Admissions Office, and all the required information that is sent directly to the department (i.e., letters of recommendation, supplemental application and essay).

Materials that need to be sent to the Department of Psychology:

Send via postal mail or parcel service to the attention of the Graduate Coordinator, one package containing the following items. Failure to send the materials listed below in a single package may cause application delays.

    1. Supplemental application
    2. Unofficial GRE scores. Official GRE scores must be reported directly to the graduate office.
    3. Optional: copies of theses, paper presentations, publications or other evidence of scholarly or professional work.
