Overview

The Memory, Attention, and Individual Differences Lab at UGA is concerned with examining basic memory and attention processes and individual differences in those processes. In particular, projects in the lab are aimed at gaining a better understanding of a number of topics related to memory and attention including working memory capacity, memory control, strategic search and retrieval, list discrimination, temporal context, goal maintenance, the focus of attention, and response inhibition to name a few. In all cases we combine aspects of experimental and differential psychology in an attempt to better understand the underlying constructs of interest. See the "Projects" page for a listing of current projects.

Facilities

The lab is located in the Department of Psychology at the University of Georgia in rooms 517 and 308. The main lab located in room 517 includes a large conference area with 3 workstations for data scoring and analysis and four participant running rooms. Eight additional running rooms are located in room 308, where the majority of participants for our large scale studies are tested.

We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.
