Current research interests: My principal research interest is in imaging genetics. We are currently completing a dense array EEG study of MZ and DZ twins from the Minnesota Twin Family Study in collaboration with Dr. William Iacono of the University of Minnesota. The initial project I am conducting is designed to evaluate genetic influences in a classical twin design on the visual P300, which is associated with a number of simple perceptual and complex cognitive operations. This project will provide a basis for developing my future work in this area. I am also currently finishing a project on analysis of variations in common modes of task presentation (blocked versus interleaved) in saccadic paradigms. In the future, I am interested in pursuing genetic neuroimaging research by taking advantage of the power of multimodal neuroimaging to understand constitutional influences on perceptual and cognitive operations in both health and disease.
