Advising F.A.Q.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What can I do with an undergraduate degree in Psychology?

Psychology is an extremely flexible major which provides training applicable in a wide variety of careers. Psychology majors go into counseling, business, sales, research, medicine, clinical practice, child care, and a wide variety of other types of careers. Employers value the rigorous background that the psychology major provides in critical thinking, scientific principles, laws and theories of human behavior, normal and abnormal behavior, social and cultural influences, and developmental change. Because of the broad array of options that are available to you with a psychology major, it's up to you to research the types of career options that are of interest to you, and to take steps to obtain the necessary experiences to make yourself marketable after graduation.

We have put together some information on both "career" and "graduate school" options after graduation, or visit these sites to get you started:
