The Paul D. Coverdell Center for Biomedical and Health Sciences, which opened in March of 2006, is the centerpiece of the University of Georgia ’s interdisciplinary biomedical enterprise. This handsome, state-of-the-art facility is a fitting memorial to the late U.S. Senator from Georgia, whose career was distinguished by a commitment to education and the biomedical research enterprise.

Roles and Responsibilities

As the Director of Development, Kate’s role is to direct and guide fund-raising efforts for the College of Public Health. She manages the fund-raising programs for the College and works collaboratively with all development team members at The University of Georgia.

Private financial support provides the margin of excellence that distinguishes good universities from great ones. Kate works to seek the gifts that will enable the College to improve the health of Georgians and make the state a better, safer, and healthier place for all citizens.
