Master of Public Health: Application Process

Fall 2008 application process will open in September 2007.  Deadline for all application materials will be February 15, 2008

General Guidelines

Applications are considered in their entirety before making admission decisions. In general, the following minimum test scores are recommended:

  • Undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 (on a 0- to 4-point scale).
  • GRE test score of 1000 for verbal and quantitative sections combined.

The application process to The University of Georgia requires two steps:

Step 1: Application to the Graduate School

  • Graduate School online application: http://www.uga.edu/gradschool/admissions/requirements.html
  • Application processing fee
  • Two official transcripts/academic records from each institution where a degree was conferred
  • Official GRE scores sent by the testing agency (UGA institutional code for ETS reporting: 5813) http://www.gre.org
  • Letters of recommendation (part of the online application)
  • Application for Georgia residence status (if claiming legal residence in Georgia)

International Applicants - additional information needed:

  • Official TOEFL or IELTS scores sent by testing agency http://www.TOEFL.org
  • Certificate of Finances (COF) form
  • Visa Information
