Located in the vibrant cultural and intellectual center of Athens, Georgia, the University of Georgia College of Public Health is uniquely situated to allow students to develop a broad range of knowledge and abilities. Utilizing the expert and renowned faculty from the College of Public Health and other academic units within the University, the Department of Health Policy and Management presents an interdisciplinary approach to the challenges of shaping policy within the modern healthcare delivery systems and public health communities. Whether a student chooses to concentrate in Health Policy or Health Management as a Master of Public Health or a Doctorate of Public Health student, she or he will be exposed to the spectrum of topics and practices prevalent in healthcare systems and public health communities in the United States as well as those of our greater global community. Our mission is to advance the health of the public by developing leadership expertise and promoting an evidence-based approach to public and private policy making in health and medicine.

Phi Kappa Phi will honor Dr. Leonard Poon with the Love of Learning Award for the 2007-2008 year on Wednesday, November 14. The award will be bestowed at a recognition ceremony beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the UGA Chapel. All CPH faculty and staff are invited to attend.
