A concentration in Health Promotion and Behavior equips you with a comprehensive understanding of the determinants of health and the skills necessary to direct programming efforts at influencing or facilitation health-related behavior, advocating public health policy, creating supportive environments, strengthening community action and reorienting health services in order to improve quality of life.

The Department of Health Promotion and Behavior (HPB) is housed on the third floor of the Ramsey Student Center for Physical Activities. It is located at 300 River Road and is identified as building 1690 on campus maps.
The HPB Department is located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the Ramsey Student Center for Physical Activities. HPB is allotted office space for eight tenure-track faculty members, two academic professionals, one administrative staff, two grant offices, and three graduate student areas.
