Public Health Evaluation Studies Group: Current Projects

Childhood Physical Activity and Nutrition Grant Program (CPAN) is funded through the Healthcare Georgia Foundation. The program is run through the Nutrition Intervention Lab run by Dr. Rebecca Mullis. Dr. Mullis is the Principal Investigator and Dr. Marsha Davis is the Evaluation Director for CPAN, which aims to address childhood obesity and physical inactivity through school- and community-based intervention programs. CPAN targets children and youth outside of the metropolitan Atlanta area. The Public Health Evaluation Studies Group will assist in measuring the four essential outcomes of the program:

1. participation levels in activities promoting physical activity

2. participation in activities promoting nutrition

3. self-reported changes in amount of physical activity among participants

4. self-reported changes in nutrition habits among participants
