Ecology professor to lecture about diseases

Sonia Altizer, professor in the Odum School of Ecology, will give a lecture on “Pestilence in the 21st Century: Are Diseases Moving Out of Control?” Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. in the Chapel as part of the Anthropocene Lecture Series.

Hispanic journalist to deliver McGill Lecture
Antonio Mora, a prominent Hispanic journalist who is a two-time winner of the Peabody Award, will present this year's McGill Lecture Oct. 22 at 4 p.m. in Room 250 of the Miller Learning Center. Mora, host of "Consider This" on Al Jazeera America, will speak about "Troubled Times in Television News." The lecture, sponsored by the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication, is free and open to the public.
