CATHERINE M. JONES Professor of French and Provençal Dr. Catherine M. Jones has research interests in French medieval epic, romance, and allegory. She is the author of The Noble Merchant: Problems of Genre and Lineage in Hervis de Mes (North Carolina, 1993) and Philippe de Vigneulles and the Art of Prose Translation (Boydell & Brewer, 2008). Other publications include articles on the chanson de geste, René d'Anjou, Richars li biaus, nineteenth and twentieth century medievalism, and Orientalism. Dr. Jones is a Josiah Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professor. |
