China Summer Program

The Georgia Law Summer Program in China is hosted by two of China's most prestigious institutions of higher learning: Tsinghua University in Beijing and Fudan University in Shanghai. The program offers participants the opportunity to interact with leading legal scholars from China and explore the country through cultural tours and field trips. The curriculum is designed to provide an introduction to the Chinese legal system, with an emphasis on commercial and international trade and IP law. All courses are taught in English by faculty from Tsinghua University School of Law, Fudan University School of Law and the University of Georgia School of Law.

Beijing, MOFCOM Seminar
  • Beijing May 26 - June 7, Shanghai May 7 - June 18
  • ABA approved (4 credit hours)
  • Dual city experience - Beijing (capital and political epicenter of the PRC) and Shanghai (financial nerve-center of Asia)
  • Numerous cultural tours & field trips in both Beijing and Shanghai
  • Visiting lecturers from the U.S. Embassy
  • Seminar on trade issues hosted by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM)
  • Program directed by C. Donald Johnson, former U.S. congressman and ambassador in the Office of the United States Trade Representative, Director, Dean Rusk Center, UGA School of Law
