Study Abroad
Georgia Law Summer Program in China In 2006, the Dean Rusk Center debuted an ABA-approved three-week study abroad program in China. Partnering with Tsinghua University in Beijing and Fudan University in Shanghai, this learning opportunity is unique by providing study in both of China's two largest cities. Numerous cultural tours and legal field trips are also part of this exciting summer program.
Brussels Seminar For more than three decades, Georgia Law has participated in the Brussels Seminar on the Law and Institutions of the European Union, a three-week intensive course on EU law held at the Institut d'Etudes Européennes of the Université Libre de Bruxelles. This course is taught by officials of the EU Commission and Council, judges of the European Community Court of Justice, leading practitioners of EU law and distinguished professors from European universities.
Other Programs
Other European Exchange Programs
A successful exchange with the University of Jean Moulin, Lyon 3 (Université Jean
Moulin, Lyon 3) was in place for nearly a decade; students and faculty alike crossed the
Atlantic in both directions to take advantage of this opportunity. Most recent, during
fall semester 2004, Professor Matheiu Cardon of Lyon taught introduction to European
competition law. A more informal exchange of faculty and graduate students has long
taken place between the law school and Free University of Brussels (Vrije Universiteit
Brussel—VUB). Over the last twenty years, at least a dozen UGA graduates have
studied at the VUB.
