(Gamma) and Kent are engaged! Katie said..."He completely surprised me this past Sunday (11/13) as I had no clue what his plans were for the day. We went to church, then out to lunch with some friends, and then he wanted to go walk on North Campus. This was nothing out of the ordinary for us because we both love just being on campus so much. We walked all over north campus and finally were coming back to my car when there in front of the chapel, under all the trees, started talking about how long we had been together, how much we had grown together in our relationship together and our relationship with God, then he started tearing up! At this point, I caught on to what was fixing to happen and started crying myself! We were both crying and he got down on his knee! Of course I said yes! He had asked my parents the day before and even took my sister Karrie with him to help pick out the ring! That made me cry even more when I found out because I am so close to my family! It was a wonderful day! We are both extremely excited!! Next July, we think the 30 is the date, and the wedding will be here in Watkinsville! Of course, all of you are invited!" He took me up to Amicalola falls to "catch bugs" for our entomology class and we hiked to the top. Once we cooled off and talked a while, he proposed to me at the overlook to the falls.
