SEXUAL ASSAULT REFERRAL SERVICE

The University’s Sexual Assault Referral Service provides guidance in obtaining services needed once the immediate medical requirements have been addressed. Call the Office for Violence Prevention, 706-542-7233 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.

DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURES

Procedures for disciplinary actions are found in The University of Georgia Code of Conduct. The booklet is available at http://www.uga.edu/judicialprograms/ or at the Office of Judicial Programs, 130 Memorial Hall (706-542-1131). In actions involving allegations of sexual assault, both the accuser and the accused are entitled to have others present during the proceedings and both are informed of the outcome. Disciplinary sanctions which may be imposed upon a student found in violation of University conduct regulations are tailored to the facts and circum­stances of the particular case; in cases of sexual assault, possible sanctions include suspension and
