Students, faculty, and staff can call the UGA Van Escort Service at 706-542-2000 (or use the Emergency Call Boxes in campus parking lots) for a ride from one campus location to another.
The service operates Sunday through Thursday, from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m., and Friday 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
during fall and spring semesters, beginning the first day of classes and
ending on the last day of finals, including reading days during final
exam periods. Escort service is available for campus or Milledge Avenue locations.
When you call, tell the dispatcher your location, your destination, and the size of your group; the dispatcher will put your call on hold to arrange your escort and will then tell you where and when to meet the van. Dispatchers and drivers are police department employees.
Need to go to the library? Find a friend who needs to go too.
If you must work alone in a campus building after dark, be sure a friend knows where you are and when youll be home.
