The Sagan Society

This is a List of both Nonfiction and Fiction Books that can be found in the Sagan Society Library.

A message from former Sagan Society President, Keith Lankford:

I would like to announce the creation of The Sagan Society Library. I have on my own shelves books that are just sitting there unread. So, I have decided to make a donation to The Sagan Society a total of nearly 100 books that members are welcome to check out for a short period of time for reading or researching.

These books focus mainly on topics of concern to The Sagan Society but also include some notable fiction, too (which, in my opinion, skeptics and supporters of science and freethought should read).

For now, I will keep the books in a special bookcase at my place until a more permanent location can be found.

Checking out books is limited to TSS members only and will last for a period of 2 - 3 weeks, depending on the book's length. The terms are that you take good care of the book(s) and return it in good condition, on time. If a book is damaged severely or is lost, you must pay an amount of money that will cover the cost of its replacement. If a book is overdue, I will give you a warning. If not returned by the end of the fourth week, you will forfeit your privileges in borrowing from the TSS Library and must either return the book or cover the cost of replacing it. (Extensions can be granted depending on the circumstances.)

Your donations to the TSS Library are most welcome since I have only a small fraction of what's out there. What I would like to have more of are books on humanism and freethought. Please contact me if you would like to make any donation.

If you would like more information on a particular book, please e-mail me at Keith_Lankford@gactr.uga.edu. A list of the current books in the library are below.
