Why Committees?

The strength and energy of Students for Environmental Awareness comes from its committees. One of the best ways to become an active proponent of a healthy environment is to get involved with one, or even help start one of your own. Whether you want to help teach children or engage in a grass-roots campaign, you will find it very inspiring to effect environmental change, and meet some new people in the process!

Energy Efficiency

We are starting a campaign on campus to get our campus to become more energy efficient. As UGA is seeking renonvations and as the campus is expanding, we would like to get involved in switching to green power and to eventually switch from UGA's dependency on coal to cleaner alternatives.

Recycling

This committe is working with housing and SGA to implement a better recycling program at UGA. We are trying to raise awareness through educating students, faculty, and staff. For more information, contact Mark Milby, Recycling Committee Head: markmilb@uga.edu
